Superhero Art Workshop with Darryl McDaniels (from Run-DMC) @ City Library

Bradford Libraries are delighted to have teamed up with Leeds Sequential Art Festival – Thought Bubble to offer a free comic art workshop at City Library on Thursday, 12 November 2015 1.15pm-2.15pm. Suitable for Y6 or Y7. We have places for two schools with 15 children from each.

Creating Superhero Characters with Darryl McDaniels

 

Darryl McDaniels (DMC) is a founding member of legendary hip-hop group Run-DMC. Darryl also writes comics! www.dmc-comics.com His latest story, LAK6, is about a very cool 13-year old female superhero. The workshop will include some performance rapping from DMC and encouraging attendees to have a go too! Darryl Makes Comics is dedicated to the idea that every walk of life has heroes and stories worth telling.

Time: 1.15pm – 2.15pm

Where: City Library, Centenary Square, Bradford BD1 1SD

 

We have places for two schools each bringing 15 pupils from Y6 or Y7 with an interest in comic art or cartooning.

Your school will be sent a letter of confirmation if you have been successful in securing a place.
