Having Building Works Done? Important Changes to the Law.

The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 are now in force and place new legal responsibilties on schools with regards to health and safety associated with building works.

The new regulations (commonly refered to as the CDM Regs) remove the need to have a CDM Co-ordinator. However, many new duties now fall upon the client, i.e. the school.

The leaflet at the link below outlines the client's main duties:

If you are having building works done (even small scale works) and you need more advice about the implications of these legal changes, please contact the CDM Unit on 01274 431721.
