Bradford Parent an Young People's Partnership/Independent Support Service

Bradford Parent and Young People's Partnership Service offers independent information, advice and support to children with special educational needs and their parents.

Bradford Independent Support Service offers independent, impartial support through the
new Education Health and Care Plan System.

Bradford Parent & Young People's Partnership Service (PYPPS) is a service for all parents / carers of children and young people who have, or may have special educational needs.  Children or young people may also access support from the service.  The service is jointly funded by Barnardos and the City of Bradford MDC and has strong links with parents' groups and the Parent Forum for Bradford and Airedale.

From September 2014 Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) will replace statements of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Learning Difficulties.  An EHCP will be tailored to meet needs so each child or young person's plan will look different.

Bradford Independent Support Service has been set up to help parents, children and young people with this new system.

The hyperlinks above to the attached leaflets give more information on the types of support on offer.  Please feel free to share these leaflets with parents and professional colleagues.
