Schools are invited to participate in the Bradford AMP Awards 2015.
This event involves the collaboration of students, teaching staff and business mentors in a very exciting music and enterprise competition. We recruited the following schools in the Bradford area this year and are hoping to have even more schools involved
- · Tong High School
- · Shipley College
- · Belle Vue Girls School
- · Carlton Bolling
- · Brooklands Special School
- · Titus Salt
The AMP Awards is a competition which truly engages young people and teaches real-life enterprise skills to both business students and band members alike. It tests business acumen, event planning, marketing and financial skills whilst also providing a platform
to showcase the often uncelebrated talents of emerging rock musicians. The competition has been run for the last 7 years in Harrogate and 5 years in Leeds and this year we secured Youth Music funding to run this in York and Bradford. (see the flyer below
for further details or visit our website www.ampawards.co.uk ).
All schools/colleges from across the area can take part and it can involve a cross age range of students. We sign schools up this term. launch the competition and the final will take place at St Georges Hall, Bradford on 5 March 2015. Once launched, AMP
Awards provides each school involved with a business mentor to work intensively with their students throughout the entire process to create a 'real' business approach which requires little input from teaching staff in school
It would be great for your school to get involved.
I look forward to hearing from you soon to discuss this in more detail.
