Maths Open Classroom Fortnight from West Yorkshire Maths Hub

To be completed by: Mon 17 Jun 2019

Time: -Mon 17 Jun 2019 | Venue:

Due to popular demand, our team of Maths Mastery Specialists are once again demonstrating the mastery approach to the teaching of maths. The FREE sessions include observing a showcase lesson as well as a pre- and post- lesson discussion. The sessions have proved to be a fantastic CPD opportunity.

A great (free!) opportunity to develop maths in your school by seeing Teaching for Mastery in action...

In order to demonstrate and showcase the Teaching for Mastery approach to maths, we are holding an 'Open Classroom Fortnight' from 17th to the 28th June.

There will be many opportunities across West Yorkshire to see Mastery Specialist teachers deliver a 'mastery' maths lesson followed by a post-lesson discussion so that all participants can really develop their understanding of this approach to maths teaching.

70 teachers participated in the March Open Classroom Fortnight - and their feedback showed that they all found the experience significantly developed their understanding of maths teaching and their effectiveness back in the classroom.

Please note that we have had many requests to demonstrate the mastery approach to Early Maths - and so this time we have organised an Nursery and Reception Open Classroom Event.
