Description of training

 

This 3 day accredited workshop is open to anyone working with young children (under 7) with additional needs/disabilities and their families. It covers core curriculum set out by the National Portage Association www.portage.org.uk

 

The course covers:

  • The Portage Model
  • Small Step Learning teaching strategies
  • Partnership working
  • Holistic assessment
  • Play for children with additional needs
  • Recording and evaluating children’s progress

Attendance on all 3 days is required for this course

Suitable for

 

Early Years Practitioners, SENCO’s & EYFS Teachers particularly those working in Day Nurseries and 2 year provision, Schools, Children’s Centres and other early years settings.
