PACT HR held a number of briefing sessions before the end of the Summer term to advice school leaders and governors of the proposed, extensive changes to leadership pay, allowances and non-pay conditions for teachers.
Over the summer we have reviewed and updated the PACT HR Model Pay Policy in the light of these changes and have begun consultation with the relevant trade unions on the revised model policy, after which the final version of the PACT HR model pay policy
will be published on the PACT HR website. Governing Bodies should arrange to consider and adopt their new pay policy at the next available meeting.

The sessions will also provide an opportunity to update you on a number of developments to the HR services which will be introduced over the coming months.
In the meantime...
From 1 September 2014 a 1% uplift has been applied to the pay ranges included in the national pay framework, including allowances. This will be implemented automatically for maintained schools who are covered by the teachers pay and conditions document.
If your school is not automatically part of STP&CD you will need to notify your HR/Payroll provider whether you wish to implement the 1% pay awarded for teaching staff.
A decision is still awaited on the pay award for support staff.
If performance related pay progression (increment) is to be awarded for 1st September 2014, schools will need to notify your HR/payroll provider of the amount of the pay award. This will automatically be backdated to 1st September 2014 regardless of the
date that notification of the pay award is received.
We look forward to seeing you then.
