Relationships Matter to young people
Disagreements and arguments with loved ones are part and parcel of everyday family life, but how often these disagreements happen and how we resolve them is really important.
When arguments happen frequently, when they become intense and aren’t resolved positively, it can have lasting effects for our children and can create stress. We have good evidence that poorly resolved conflict and arguments can have lasting effects on our
children’s mental health, their behaviour, how they achieve in school and how they manage their relationships in later life.
Following an evaluation project that was completed by Bradford Children and Families Trust, Anna Freud and Foundations, a website has been created to offer help and highlight services that children can access support if their parents or the adults in their
life are struggling with their relationship.
The key message to children is to speak to a trusted adult because help is available.
Please share the attached Digital Poster which has a QR code to access to the website.
