The competition final is a black tie event held at the National Media Museum’s Pictureville Cinema where all short-listed entries are shown on the big screen. Children, teachers and parents are invited to make up the audience and vote for the winners who
are presented with an Oscar and a prize.
This year’s final will be held on the afternoon of Tuesday 8 July.
There are three age ranges for the competition - Key Stage 1, Year 3/4 and Year 5/6. Entries are split into categories as follows - visual story, animation and film. The category ‘visual story’ expands on the Photostory 3 category from previous years. Entries
for this category combine images and sounds into a short film using any software including Photostory 3.
We also introduced a new photograph category in 2013. This year each school can enter one quality photograph per age range based on the theme of
'My School’. Note - schools must have entered at least one other category to take part in the photography category.
If your school would like to take part please visit
The Innovation Centre website for further information and to register your interest or contact
