Bradford City FC Community Foundation are excited to announce the Bradford Battledeck Championship, a brand-new mathematics tournament taking place throughout the Autumn term for primary school pupils in Years 4, 5 and 6.

Delivered by Bradford City FC Community Foundation in partnership with Dartboard Maths and the International Darts School League, the event brings together pupils for a fun, competitive maths challenge through a new, innovative event delivered in two stages.

Firstly, our team will bring the excitement straight to you on a day of your choosing, coming into school to run a qualifying round with your Year 4,5 and 6 pupils. This includes introducing them to the Battledeck app, giving everyone an opportunity at the 'Quickest 20' challenge in a fun, low-pressure setting. The top performing pupils will qualify for the Grand Final event and we can provide your school with statistics for all pupils based on their performance.

Secondly, the top 5 performing pupils will then be invited to our Grand Final event on Thursday 10th December at Mbanq Valley Parade (Bradford City FC's stadium). Here, they will compete in the Individual or Team Battledeck Championship for some incredible prizes!

We're inviting up to 40 early-adopter schools to take part, and participation comes with some fantastic benefits:

- A free 12-month subscription to the Dartboard Maths app
- Free tournament opportunities for your pupils
- A memorable day out at the football stadium, with team and individual challenges
- Trophies, medals, signed merchandise and BCAFC match tickets for winning schools and pupils
- The chance for a BCAFC player to visit your school
- Opportunities for support especially suited to pupils who haven't thrived through traditional maths teaching, including neurodivergent learners

There's no obligation to purchase anything further after the free pilot.

If you'd like your school to be one of our early adopters, simply express your interest through our Google Form below (or in this Powerpoint) and we'll be in touch with more details, including preparation session dates and next steps.
