Give girls in your school the chance to build confidence, make friends, and thrive through the group work strand of the Y’s Girls Mentoring Programme at YMCA Bradford.
We offer small group sessions for girls aged 9 to 14, led by trained mentors using a youth work approach. Sessions are informal, supportive, and focused on what really matters: helping girls find their voice, make positive choices, and know they belong.
Impact for Your School and Girls:
-
Girls grow in self-confidence and resilience, learning to handle challenges in and out of school.
-
Stronger, healthier friendships and a sense of belonging within the group.
-
Practical life skills, such as managing emotions, staying safe online, and recognising healthy and unhealthy relationships.
-
Every girl is supported to contribute, belong, and thrive.
-
Girls gain a trusted adult they can talk to, helping them feel less alone and more hopeful about their future.
Sessions are flexible, tailored to your school’s needs, and can complement your PSHE or RSE curriculum with topics like self-esteem, relationships, coping with change, and more.
