Skills Bootcamp – Teaching Assistant (equivalent to Level 2)

Skills Bootcamps are short, non-accredited courses that are fully funded and designed to help individuals with upskilling, reskilling, and supporting unemployed adults to enter careers they may have not considered working in before.  A Skills Bootcamp not only builds valuable skills but also provides a pathway to a fast-tracked, accredited Level 2 course — accelerating learners journey toward a recognised qualification.

The course covers topics such as child and young person development, safeguarding, community, EDI, and schools as organisers.   This is a 10-x week course, that requires attendance of 6 x hours per day for 1 x day a week at our Skills for Work premises, First Floor, Britannia House, Bradford, BD1 1HX.  We have various start dates commencing in November & December 2025 (27/11/25, 04/12/25, 10/12/25, 11/12/25 and 17/12/125) and we welcome anyone interested joining this course.

If you miss these start dates, then we also have a course scheduled for the New year to commence 7/1/26 to 18/3/26.

The eligibility criteria for a fully funded place requires learners to be:

  • Aged 19 years or over
  • Have the right to work in the UK, - live in England and meet residency requirements (we can check this)
  • Unemployed and actively seeking work
  • Willing to commit to 80 GLH (Guided Learning Hours)
