The Cyclehoop Education Fund is a grant initiative that gives schools across the United Kingdom the chance to install new cycle parking or upgrade existing facilities.

Last year, we launched the Cyclehoop Education Fund – a new initiative created to provide schools with secure cycle parking and boost active travel amongst students and staff.

After the spectacular reception to our inaugural year, we’re thrilled to announce that entry for our 2025 fund is now open.

The Cyclehoop Education Fund is a grant initiative that gives schools across the United Kingdom the chance to install new cycle parking or upgrade existing facilities. The winning schools receive expert guidance and financial support towards the project. The objective is to make cycling to school more accessible, convenient, and safe for students of all ages and promote the benefits of active travel.

Apply now

  • Timeline: applications are open until November 17th 2025. The winners will be announced in December.
  • Selection: Once all applications are in, a judging panel will review them and pick the winning schools.
  • Assessment: Selected schools will participate in an assessment with our team of experts to determine the best cycle parking solutions for their location.
  • Funding and installation: Our Design and Installation teams will then work with the schools to specify and schedule the installation.

The Cyclehoop Education Fund combines financial support with industry expertise to help schools get the cycle parking they need to promote cycling among their students.

Last year’s winner!

Last year, Hebden Royd Church of England Primary School were the first ever winners of the Cyclehoop Education Fund. Their fantastic application spoke about their ongoing sustainability initiatives including statistics about existing active travel amongst students, highlighting that a quarter of their students live within 1 mile of the school but still drive. Hebden Royd’s clear mission to convert this group as well as encourage healthier lifestyles and reduce traffic congestion for the wider community secured them the Cyclehoop Education Fund grant.
