Skills for Work are currently offering a variety of Teaching Assistant courses ideal for those wanting to work in schools settings, or for those wanting to progress to a higher level qualification.
Skills Bootcamp - Level 2 Teaching Assitant Course
Skills Bootcamps are ideal for individuals wanting to upskill, re-skill or enter a career they may not have worked in before. The Level 2 Teaching Assitant course is non-accredited provision and can be used as a fast track route to more accredited learning
upon completion. Skills Bootcamps are fully funded for those who are aged 19 and over, have the right to live and work in the UK, are unemployed and looking for work. Learners also need to be competent in English language
at minimum of Level 1.
The course will start on 1st October 2025 and will be delivered over a 10 x week period. Learners are expected to attend 1 x day a week, at the Skills for Work Training Centre, 1st Floor Britannia House, Hall Ings, Bradford, BD1 1HX.

Teaching Assistant Level 2 Award
This course is ideal for those wanting to develop their knowledge and understanding of working as a teaching assistant further within a school environment. Entry to this course requires Level 1 Functional Skills English or GCSE English at a minimum grade
of 3 or D.

Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
This course is ideal for those working directly with children/young people in a school setting.
