Spotlight Conferences - Doing things differently: including learners with complex and severe needs.

Half-day training session focused on inclusive education for children with complex/ severe needs in mainstream schools. This engaging conference will blend current theory, research and practice to help educators create supportive and inclusive environments with leaners at the centre.
SENDCOs and senior leaders will know why pupils and young people with severe and complex needs require a different approach to curriculum, teaching and assessment (theory and research).

SENDCOs and senior leaders will know about what a different curriculum offer looks like for pupils with severe and complex needs (including EQUALS).

SENDCOs and senior leaders will have modelled examples and shared practice to support them to develop alternative curriculum offers in their schools, if they choose to.

Peter Imray: Member of EQUALS, Associate Lecturer Birmingham University.
