Step2 offer a supervision service for staff who have responsibilities for safeguarding and/or mental health support within their organisation, in recognition of the emotional toil of these roles and the impact this can have on staff, their well-being and their capacity to work effectively. Sessions offer:

• a confidential, supportive space, independent of line management
• opportunities to offload; process traumatic and disturbing material; pay attention to responses, and monitor any factors getting in the way of decision-making processes
• recognise when burnout may be approaching and identify strategies to cope
• 1:1 or in small groups
• 1 hour monthly or 1.5hrs session per half term, timings are flexible and can be negotiated.
