Register now for free online training for sustainability leads to become carbon literate.
Available to all UK schools and multi-academy trusts when you register with Let’s Go Zero.
We’ve created a brand new course ideal for sustainability leads and other staff members looking to boost their skills and knowledge in climate change, carbon emissions and more.
The
free online course, accredited by the Carbon Literacy Project, starts on 11 March 2025 and is delivered as four two-hour sessions every week, for a total of eight hours.
Why is Let’s Go Zero offering this training to schools?
There’s no two ways about it – we’re in a climate and an ecological crisis.
But we’ve also got an amazing opportunity to take action in the fight against climate change. And schools are uniquely placed to make a big difference.
As well as having the power to cut their own emissions and carbon footprints (which make up as much as 20% of the emissions from the UK’s public sector), schools can educate and inform the next generation about the role they have to play in protecting our
planet.
Training in schools to become carbon literate is important because it helps staff feel even more confident in taking eco-friendly actions in their workplace. It also models sustainable behaviours in front of students, helping engage them in important topics
like recycling and pollution, while also encouraging conversations around climate change and carbon emissions.
