This week (3 to 9 February) is Children’s Mental Health Week. It’s a great time to talk to children, young people and their families about the fantastic range of online courses from In Our Place, available FREE to everyone in the Bradford District.

In Our Place is an online library of free courses aiming to help us better understand ourselves and our family members, to help us all deal with the normal challenges of family life, parenting, relationships, and emotional wellbeing.

  • There are various courses designed for parents and carers of both primary and secondary school age children.
  • There are two courses specially designed for teens to follow themselves about ‘understanding your brain’ and ‘understanding your feelings’.
  • The In Our Place library also provides courses aimed at families who have a child/children with SEND.

The courses are completely free for everyone in the Bradford District, using the code BDPARENTS.

Please share information about In Our Place with your children’s and students’ families. You can also share information about the courses for teens directly with students themelves at secondary school and further education.

To access the courses, people can search online for 'InOurPlace Bradford' or follow the links from the FYI (Families and Young Person’s Information) website: https://fyi.bradford.gov.uk/parenting-programme-pathway/#inourplace

There is an online toolkit which includes posters, images and text for newsletters and social media. This is also on FYI: In Our Place - communications toolkit | Bradford Families and Young Persons

Thank you for sharing this fantastic free resource with Bradford District’s families!
