From Thursday 26 June to Friday 4 July 2025, join Bradford Literature Festival (BLF) for seven Key Stage 2 events, tailored to the National Curriculum and with free teacher’s resource packs included – book your free tickets now.

BLF’s events are popular and places are limited so book now to avoid disappointment. All events are free for home educators and non-fee-paying schools to attend. 

Waiting lists are available to join for events which have already sold out – proceed to book and follow the waiting list prompt. If spaces become available suitable for your group the BLF team will be in touch.

Superheroes – Friday 27 June 2025

Step into a day of imagination and inspiration as we celebrate legendary figures and real-life champions who inspire us all. Meet inspiring sports personalities and unsung heroes, sharing their incredible stories of courage and compassion. Discover that not all superheroes wear capes – everyday individuals make a difference, and that each of us has a superhero within. 

Amazing Inventions That Shaped Our World - Monday 30 June 2025 

Science, History and English – Years 3 and 4. 

Join us for an exciting day celebrating groundbreaking innovations that have transformed our world. Discover the astrolabe, an ancient device used by explorers to navigate the stars, dive into robotics and artificial intelligence, exploring how these technologies enhance our lives.

Literacy and Spoken Language, Drama and History – Years 5 and 6.

Rebellious Royals – Wednesday 2 July 2025 

History – Years 3 and 4. 

Meet the rulers who dared to defy expectations! Encounter the fearless Warrior Queen Boudica, dive into the epic tales of William the Conqueror, and explore the tumultuous reign of the Tudors, uncovering the fascinating lives of King Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I. 

Performance Poetry (Primary) - Thursday 3 July 2025 - Sold Out (waiting list available to join)

Experience the vibrant world of poetry, where the power of words, rhyme, and rhythm takes centre stage. Designed to expose young people to a variety of poetic styles, structures and wordplay, the day features a line-up of renowned poets who transform their verses into vibrant performances. 

Adventures in Ancient Egypt – Friday 4 July 2025 - Sold Out (waiting list available to join) 

History – Years 4, 5 and 6. 

Embark on a thrilling journey to Ancient Egypt, where young explorers will uncover the mysteries and marvels of this fascinating civilisation. Explore what daily life was really like for children in Thebes, uncover the truths of ancient practices and beliefs, and bust myths about the pyramids.
