Suitable for people who are new to the role of DSL/Deputy DSL, this course will equip participants with the skills to implement a child-centred and coordinated approach to safeguarding in your school.
Delegates will learn about:

• The legislation and guidance that govern safeguarding and child protection in education
• A range of safeguarding issues and their indicators
• The Bradford framework for assessing a child's vulnerabilities and needs
• Appropriate responses when a child needs protection form harm
• Partner agencies, their responsibilities and how to work effectively with them
