Book your students’ free places on the fantastic 2025 Education Programme at Bradford Literature Festival.

Tickets are now available for seven Primary Key Stage 2 events, and six Secondary Key Stage 3 & 4 events, taking place from Thursday 26 June to Friay 4 July 2025. All events are free for non-fee-paying schools to attend, are tailored to the National Curriculum, and include free teachers’ resource packs. 

Primary events will take place at the University of Bradford, and Secondary events will take place at St George's Hall, Bradford. Please note, travel is not included in your booking.

BLF’s Education Programme offers a week of eye-opening talks, workshops, and interactive experiences delivered by leading writers, performance poets, illustrators, scientists, historians, journalists, among many others. These unique events promote curiosity and support developing students into well-rounded and open-minded individuals.

Primary Key Stage 2 Events 

Primary events will take place at the University of Bradford.

  • The Universe and You: Thursday 26 June 2025, Key Stage 2 Science and PSHE, Years 5 and 6. 

  • Superheroes: Friday 27 June 2025, Key Stage 2 English and PSHE, Years 3 and 4. 

  • Amazing Inventions that Shaped our World: Monday 30 June 2025, Key Stage 2 Science, History and English, Years 3 and 4. 

  • Introducing Shakespeare: Tuesday 1 July 2025, Key Stage 2 Literacy and Spoken Language, Drama and History, Years 5 and 6. 

  • Rebellious Royals: Wednesday 2 July 2025, Key Stage 2 History, Years 3 and 4. 

  • Performance Poetry: Thursday 3 July 2025, Key Stage 2 Literacy and Spoken Language, Years 5 and 6. 

  • Adventures in Ancient Egypt: Friday 4 July 2025, Key Stage 2 History, Geography, Art and English, Years 4, 5 and 6.
