Year Group Training
This year we are running sessions for all year groups from Y1 - Y6. The Autumn sessions will focus on teaching strategies and supporting teachers with understanding the key expectations of their year group.
In Spring we will look at assessing maths beyond the paper test. Helping schools to ensure children's understanding is embedded and can be successfully applied thus avoiding misconceptions and gaps in learning.

Identified through analysis of the 2024 tests alongside working with schools three areas have been identified as being weaker:
Geometry
Word Problems
Fractions
Training will look at progression within these areas across the school and strategies for ensuring depth of understanding and progress.
