COUNSELLING IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS

Step2 offers counselling services in secondary schools

  • 1:1 high quality therapeutic work
  • Fully qualified, experienced counsellors who are all registered with a professional body
  • Supervision sessions to support safeguarding leads
  • Clear Service Level Agreements
  • Full supervision of the counsellors in line with British association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical Guidelines, ensuring quality assurance and safeguarding of the work
  • Organisation membership of BACP

PLAY THERAPY AND COUNSELLING IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS

Step 2 offers play therapy and counselling in primary schools to help children:

  • Regulate their emotions
  • Process past traumatic or troubling experiences
  • Improve attendance and engagement in school

NB. Service level agreements for counselling and therapy services entitle schools to additional services, free of charge. These can include: 

  • Bespoke group work for CYP - e.g. online harm, pornography, healthy relationships, school transition and more.....
  • Support for parents and families:
  • Parent groups - information and support for parents in confidential non-judgemental settings
  • 1:1 counselling for parents
