- Full supervision of the counsellors in line with British association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical Guidelines, ensuring quality assurance and safeguarding of the work
- Organisation membership of BACP
PLAY THERAPY AND COUNSELLING IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS
Step 2 offers play therapy and counselling in primary schools to help children:
- Regulate their emotions
- Process past traumatic or troubling experiences
- Improve attendance and engagement in school
NB. Service level agreements for counselling and therapy services entitle schools to additional services, free of charge. These can include:
- Bespoke group work for CYP - e.g. online harm, pornography, healthy relationships, school transition and more.....
- Support for parents and families:
- Parent groups - information and support for parents in confidential non-judgemental settings
- 1:1 counselling for parents
