Step2 YPH's offer of mental health support in schools

We are aware of increasing demand in this area alongside ever increasing budget demands and are delighted to be able to offer a 40% discount on our services in schools as a limited summer term offer. 

We are able to offer:

• Counselling schools
• Play Therapy in schools
• Supervision support for safeguarding leads
• Counselling support for non-teaching and staff

• Step 2 is a small charity dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of children and young people in Bradford. Our mission is to provide information and services to CYP, their families, and professionals working with them, enabling them to live healthy lives.
• Our aims include raising awareness of health issues, fostering self-confidence and self-determination, and involving CYP in planning relevant and comfortable approaches to address their challenges.
• We have a strong track record of delivering counselling in schools, and have been providing these services for many years.
• Our counselling service, which has been operating for 16 years, employs fully qualified counsellors, trained in person-centered therapies, which has been a fundamental aspect of the charity’s approach throughout its existence, and offers therapy to approx. 200 children and young people every  week.
• All our counsellors are qualified to minimum diploma level and are all registered members of a professional body (usually BACP or PTUK). They all receive monthly internal clinical supervision at Step 2 in addition to  independent clinical supervision on a monthly basis.
• We prioritise setting and achieving measurable goals to showcase the tangible impact of our services.
• Our team consists of dedicated individuals who bring a wealth of expertise, experience, and a shared commitment to empowering youth, instilling confidence in our ability to drive the project's success.
• Our goal based outcomes for counselling in schools in 2023 (414 CYP seen) are highlighted below.
