Participate in our FREE ‘Learn to code with Code Club’ programme! Our online workshops will build teachers’ confidence and knowledge to guide learners through fun and enriching learning experiences that support them to get creative with code, including taking part in Coolest Projects UK.

I’m Jody, Code Club Community Coordinator for England, and I’m excited to invite your school to participate in our FREE ‘Learn to code with Code Club’ programme.  In this programme, young people will gain experience of using code to bring their ideas to life, and teachers will develop their confidence to run a Code Club and support learners to create digital technology projects that they can showcase and celebrate at the upcoming Coolest Projects UK event in Bradford, taking place on 11 May 2024.

What is Code Club?

Code Club is a global network of free extracurricular coding clubs for young people. We provide free resources and online project guides to help club leaders and volunteers support young people to learn to code in Scratch, Python, HTML/CSS, and more. Using our project guides, learners create cool and fun games, animations, and websites, while learning key programming concepts and building their coding skills. Code Club also supports young people to develop important transferable skills, such as teamwork and problem-solving.

What will ‘Learn to code with Code Club’ involve?

  • The programme will run from 29 February to 2 May 2024

  • Teachers will take part in two initial online workshops

  • Classes will participate in weekly prerecorded codealongs

Our online workshops will build teachers’ confidence and knowledge to guide learners through fun and enriching learning experiences that support them to get creative with code, including supporting learners to take part in Coolest Projects UK.
