See the rhythms of your brain in action! Provided by the University of Leeds

Bradford Tech Fest Workshop for KS 3 & 4 (Ages 11-16) 45-90 minutes. Classes of 30.

In this hands-on in-school workshop you will learn about how advances in neurotechnology are revolutionising our ability to understand the brain. During the session you will be paired up with another participant and you will each take turns to act as neuroscientist and participant as we teach you how to record EEG (electrical brain activity) from one another. You’ll get to see how your brain activity changes as you perform different actions and, in the process, you will contribute to science, as the data you generate will be used to help advance neuroscience work taking place at the University.

Dates Available to book: 27, 28, 29 and 30 November. 1, 4, 5, 6, 7 8, 13, 14 & 15 December.

Sorry the AI did my homework! –provided by the University of Leeds PhD students

In school event for KS 4 (Ages 14 - 16) 45-60 minutes. Classes of 30.

Discuss the use of ChatGPT in school/work. ChatGPT, Bard etc. are all freely available AI tools that students will already be using for homework, both to complete their work for them and as a study tool. No matter what we say, students will continue to use these tools. Therefore, rather than telling them to not use it completely we discuss how to use the tool appropriately, how it can make mistakes, when to use it and the dangers both for themselves and others of using these tools.

Dates Available to book: 28th November, 5th & 6th December, 12th & 13th December
