I was approached some months ago by Jo Poole of Home Farm Primary School who was eager to share her ideas for a district wide arts project to celebrate the City of Culture. We are now in a position to share our ideas with the rest of the district schools
and hopefully get you on board for this exciting venture – ‘Our Bradford’
The project has 4 elements:
Our area - every school produces a collaborative 3D piece that celebrates the geography, buildings and personality of their postcode area
Our hero - every school produces a collaborative 2D piece celebrating a local person to their postcode
Our view - individual students produce short films reflecting their view of culture in Bradford
All the above will be displayed in galleries and museums across the district in 2025.
In addition to this we are working with Bradford Museums and Historic England on a
family culture challenge – more info to follow.
We would like the opportunity to share and hopefully develop these ideas with other schools so we can get everyone on board to celebrate
Bradford City of Culture 2025.
Heads and Art Leads are invited to our initial meeting at Home Farm Primary School on Wednesday 20 September at 4pm.
Interested staff should fill in the online application by 15 September:
