The University of Bradford is hosting a Health and Social Care Summer School for learners aged 14-18 yrs old.

This exciting event takes place on Monday 3rd to Friday 5th July, 2023. The Summer School is for young people who are interested in H&SC and includes practical workshops in areas including: Speech and Language Therapy, Diagnostic Radiography, Podiatry, Physicians Associate, and Occupational Therapy. In attending the summer school learners will be inspired by talking to different health and social care professionals about their different roles and careers available. They will also be able to try out some of the specialist equipment and learn about what it is like to be a patient or carer.

Attendance by anyone applying is for the full 5 days. A free lunch will be provided for each day of the week for all attendees. If transporting learners to the event is a barrier then the University is happy to support by funding transport to and from school or college, for anyone who needs it.

Completion of the week can provide young people with UCAS Points when applying for related HSC courses as well as Digital Skills Badges to recognise the H&SC skills that all attendees will gain during the event.

Spaces are capped at 30 so places are very limited. If your young people are interested, can you please register them via this website link: Health & Social Care Summer School - Faculty of Health Studies - University of Bradford  The deadline for registering for the event is the 11th June.
