Writing for Pleasure: English Leaders’ Edition is a workshop built around creating teachers who care about the soul of writing, a workshop designed to unlock the potential of every writer, and a workshop for collaboration – school-to -school getting real
life feedback from the chalkface.
Dan Paton has already led several very successful English workshops for teachers new to Key Stage 2 and ECTs, now it is the leaders opportunity to make a difference to how English is taught across the whole school.
What’s the point in writing? Genuine question.
Writers need to be taught to write for different purposes, so they fully understand what the point of their hard work is for.
Through Writing for Pleasure, writers are exposed to a variety of high-quality text-types, learning from the best of the best, as they journey towards their independent writing.
