Cycle To Work Scheme
The staff cycle to work scheme will be open for applications again between 1st November and 10th December 2022.
The scheme allows staff to purchase up to £4000 worth of bike related items such as a new bike, accessories, sportswear and helmets via the salary sacrifice scheme.
The benefit of the scheme is that the costs are spread across the year and deducted directly from your salary. Also, savings of up to 40% off the usual retail cost can be made.

Why cycle?
Cycling is a great way to get fit and healthy, avoid congestion and save money on fuel.
In recent years the number of segregated cycle lanes have been installed, towpaths and traffic free routes have been improved and more cycle parking provision is available.

*Unfortunately the scheme only available to Bradford Council employees, for example teaching staff employed by Academies would not be able to apply. The scheme is also not available to casual employees due to HMRC guidelines on salary sacrifice schemes,
it is only available to established and temporary employees who are due to be employed for the term of the salary sacrifice agreement.
