Parents and carers are beginning to apply for travel assistance for the new school year in September. Many schools and colleges help parents to complete an application form and the Travel Assistance Service want make sure that schools and colleges have the
necessary information to help them.
We would like as many application forms to be completed online this year to make sure fewer forms are lost in the post and that details of families are kept as secure as possible. Online completion also means a faster delivery to the Assessment Team. The
online form is for children and young people from reception to year 11 and can be completed at

For those families who cannot complete an online form or for those young people needing to request post 16 assistance there is also word document which can also be found at the web address above.
Once an application form is received the Travel Assistance Service will email out a short questionnaire for schools and colleges to complete.
Please be aware that an assessment for eligibilty will not be able to be completed without the completed school questionnaire.
Once a completed school questionnaire is received the Travel Assistance Service will aim to determine eligibility within 30 working days.
