Dear colleagues,
I'm writing to let you know that after 28 years with the Council I will be retiring at the end of this academic year. I’ve been privileged to have worked alongside so many committed and talented people in the work that we do and am grateful for the support
you have shown over the years. Together, I believe we have made a positive contribution to the lives of children in Bradford.
The timing is not brilliant, with Ramadhan and the end of the school year both coming at the same time. I have therefore arranged my ‘farewell do’ for Friday 4 September, 1200 to 1300 hrs in Conference Room D at Future House in order that I can say thank
you to you all.
No cards or gifts please but if you feel inclined you can donate towards Remembering Srebrenica, a charity to support the families who lost their loved ones, to raise awareness of the Genocide that took place in Bosnia 20 years ago. It’s my chosen charity
this year.
Tracy Lennie at Future House will be the central collection point for this and please contact her if you will be attending on 4 September to help us with catering arrangements.
RSVP:
tracy.lennie@bradford.gov.uk or ring 01274 378401
I know that many will not be able to attend so I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you all as I know there is great strength in you to continue to make a positive difference to the lives of children and young people across the District.
Thank you and farewell!
