We will be doing maintenance to our website systems on Sunday, 31 January. Despite the ongoing situation with Covid-19 it is essential that we maintain the security of our systems. This will help us continue to deliver vital public health messages and information about council services via our website and allow you all to access our services using online forms. The work should be done with little disruption to you and any interruption should be short. If you do have problems accessing the site or something doesn’t work on Sunday, please try again later.
Bradford SACRE has joined a partnership of neighbouring local authorities to offer you a new RE Syllabus for implementation in Septemer 2021.
Our current syllabus expires at the end of the summer term and is replaced by the new one, Believing and Belonging in West Yorkshire.
Religious Education must be taught to all pupils from ages 5 to 18 in all schools and academies. Maintained and voluntary controlled schools must use the locally agreed syllabus. As this syllabus has been designed to meet local needs it is also suitable for Academies in the Bradford District, whom we encourage to make use of it to fulfil their statutory obligations.
The RE Resources Hub includes a comprehensive collection of detailed units of work designed to deliver the local agreed syllabus. These units are not part of the statutory syllabus but if they are used they will fulfil its requirements. Schools are free to select, adapt, or write their own. Features of the Hub include:
