Emotional Difficulties
Human emotions are strongly linked to the way an individual presents, and managing these is closely linked to their capacity to self-regulate and suitably adapt their behaviour to their environment. Having difficulties naming, recognising, and managing emotions is a common feature for children and young people identified under SEMH which may lead to periods of dysregulation and distressed reactions. This page is dedicated to providing resources and information for schools and settings to use to support this area of need.
