30 hours for Foster Carers
From September 2018 Foster Carers who work outside their foster caring responsibilities could be eligible for the 30 hours entitlement for children they foster.
The application process including the issuing of eligibility codes is the responsibility of the local authority.
Any foster carers that contact you should be directed to speak with their named social worker who will start the application process with them.
If a foster carer is issued an eligibility code then the code will begin with ‘40’. As a provider you should follow the same process as you do with all other 30 hour eligibility children

Childcare Choices
The Government is introducing Childcare Choices. Childcare Choices brings together all the government childcare offers for the first time, helping parents find the right childcare support to suit them.
As part of Childcare Choices we’re introducing two new offers in 2017 –
Tax-Free Childcare, which will be introduced on 28 April and gradually rolled out, and
30 hours free childcare, available from September 2017. From the end of April, parents will begin to apply for both schemes at the same time through a new digital childcare service.
The new Childcare Choices website provides information on the new and existing Government childcare offers:
