The school is proposing to 'make a significant change' which requires them to consult key stakeholders to gain their views on the proposal. These views will help inform the Department for Education when they come to review the proposal.
The consultation is live from 14th September to 5th October 2026.
The proposals are:
Proposal 1 – Thompson Court
The first of the two proposals outlined here is to expand the Keighley site by acquiring an additional site at Thompson Court allowing for a further 80 Children and Young People (C&YP) to access the same generic special school offer.
Proposal 2 – Anerley Street
The second of the two proposals is to expand the Thackley site by acquiring an additional site at Anerley Street accommodating a further 56 C&YP with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
