This 24 week course is designed to provide training and ongoing support to schools covering a wide range of vital topics.

Topics covered

  • Introduction to Down syndrome (2 sessions + 1 consultation)

  • Signing and Down syndrome (4 sessions + 1 consultation)

  • Teaching basic number skills to children with Down syndrome using

    the Numicon approach (2 sessions + 1 consultation)

  • Teaching number skills beyond 10, time & money (2 sessions + 1

    consultation)-

  • Let’s make it visual - using visual resources to teach speech, language,

    communication and literacy (3 sessions + 1 consultation)

  • Reading, Language Intervention (RLI) for children with Down syndrome

    (5 sessions + 1 consultation)

 

Each topic will be followed with an online consultation for participants.

Sessions will be live every Thursday, 10am to 11am, and recorded if you are unable to attend.

Starting Thursday 17th September 2026.

COST OF COURSE £120.

Resources are available to download from our website to support the majority of the courses and these resources will be offered at a reduced rate of 50% to all participants.
