Forecasts for 2026-30 are now available.

As part of the annual school capacity (SCAP) return to the DfE, the LA has a duty to compile mainstream primary pupil number forecasts for the next 5 academic years.

These are calculated in planning areas and the latest updates for the district have now been completed.

This report contains an overview of the LA’s forecasting methodology and a snapshot of the situation in each planning area, including the forecasts and recommended actions for 2028 (the year in which any changes to Published Admission Numbers would come into effect).

For the best viewing experience, please expand the report to full screen.

If you have any questions about the data or would like to discuss how it relates to your school, please email sufficiency@bradford.gov.uk.

Forecasts for secondary school planning areas will be released shortly.
