Through celebration, education and raising awareness, Gypsy, Roma and Traveller History Month helps to tackle prejudice, change the story, and amplify the voices of Gypsies, Roma and Travellers in wider society.

2) Free event that University of Sunderland are hosting as part of their Gypsy Roma Traveller History Month 2026 celebrations.
‘Storytelling and Song’ with Richard O’Neill MBE and George Hoyle is an interactive online masterclass with a selection of unique, exciting and original stories through song. This will be held on Wednesday 3 June 2026 at 9:30am – 10:30am on Microsoft Teams.
The event is for pupils aged 8-11, so school year groups 4-6. This event is open to all schools and home educators nationally, or even globally. Bookable via Gypsy,
