We are now recruiting for Bradford Primary Schools Linking 2026-2027 and we warmly invite all Bradford schools to join the programme.

Bradford Primary Linking Schools

The Linking Network works with children and young people to build relationships with people they might otherwise not meet – people of different ethnicities, religions, and backgrounds. Schools Linking brings together carefully matched classes from demographically different schools. During the structured, year-long programme, pupils explore themes of identity, difference and social action, both in their classrooms and together on visit days.

Our curriculum rich programme is rooted in evidence on effective intergroup contact. The programme aims to reduce prejudice and support EDI work in schools, it promotes achievement. Schools Linking is designed to be manageable for teachers and impactful, thoughtful and enjoyable for all children. We provide two half-day CPD training for all our teachers. Our programmed is fully resourced and we provide ongoing support over the course of the year.

The programme has been running in the district for over 25 years, and we currently have 186 classes taking part in Schools Linking. Are you interested in being part of our programme next year? We are delighted to be recruiting for our 2026-27 linking programmes and all Primary Schools are welcome to express an interest to join the programme.
