Join us for an interactive and participatory session aimed at helping community leaders understand energy bills and tariffs, improve building efficiency, reduce energy waste, and find funding for different interventions

Energy bills have come up time and again as a significant concern for those running community organisations. The issues range from not knowing where to start, to not getting funding for important interventions. BITC and their network of businesses want to help community organisations like yours to overcome the obstacles.

Business in the Community (BITC) has been engaging with Bradford’s community organisations to understand the pressing challenges facing the sector and will be hosting an event at Great Horton Cricket Club (BD7 3NR) from 10:30-14:00 on Thursday 13th November (lunch will be included.)

The event aims to share information about how to make sure their building is cheap to run and future-ready.

It will be an interactive and participatory session aimed at helping community leaders understand energy bills and tariffs, improve building efficiency, reduce energy waste, and find funding for different interventions. It will look at understanding energy use, creating an energy reduction plan, building retrofit (and the headaches to plan for), engaging building users, and accessing funding.

Who: Those involved with a community organisation with physical premises (community centres, primary schools, sports clubs, places of worship, etc)
