Deadline: Friday 3rd October

 The exciting stuff:

Join Bradford Music & Arts Service and the BBC Radio Leeds choir Bantam of the Opera to set 2 Guinness Book of World Records for: World’s Largest Air Drumming and World’s Largest Body Percussion Lesson (with a potential 3rd World Record)! We will celebrate the rest of the day through a mixture of musical activities, including a Big Sing. The extravaganza is in association with the BBC, and there will be a live performance from Bantam of the Opera amongst others. BBC Children in Need will also be shining a light on the fundraising efforts in Bradford, during the UK City of Culture year, as students challenge themselves to attain multiple Guinness World Records.

We are welcoming students from Key Stage 2, 3, and 4, and we encourage you to bring all of them. There is only enough room for 3000 people so sign up quickly to ensure you don’t miss out!

Please note; the venue is fully accessible. Please visit Bradford Live | Accessibility | Bradford Live Bradford for further information.

As part of the day, schools will also be asked to submit their 2025 themed artwork. This will be on display at the extravaganza, evoking memories and feelings on the City of Culture year.

The important stuff:

Due to the nature of the event, all students attending must be covered by a Body of Persons Approval performance licence. This requires them to be supervised on a 1 adult to 12 children ratio. Please ensure that is in place when you book your place.

Photographs/videos will be taken so please ensure that you have appropriate permissions in place which cover media consent or can identify how many children need exemptions at the point of sign up. This is essential so we can ensure that all students can be accommodated in suitable areas before we confirm school places. If your school has students that cannot be filmed, they will be seated in a different area away from your school therefore you must bring a member of staff to accompany those children.

Schools will arrive from 9.30am (in timed slots) and the day will end at 2.30pm. Schools will not be permitted to leave before the end of the event as it may invalidate the World Record attempts.

Please read the Cancellation policy at the bottom of the online registration form.

We look forward to welcoming your school on the day to celebrate your pupils, your school, your Bradford.
