Bradford Council's Community Play and Development Service has had an incredible summer, delivering fun-filled events for children across the Bradford district – and schools played a big part in making it happen!

Nine members of The Play and Development Service, all in blue branded clothing, are pictured in front of inflatables in a park. Between June and August 2025, the team ran 118 play events, including:

  • 46 School Inflatable Fun Days
  • 52 Play in the Park sessions
  • 6 Mini Bounce Planet events
  • 2 Town Council Galas
  • 5 Community Fun Days
  • 1 Play Scheme Fun Day
  • 1 Disability Play Day
  • 5 Holiday Park Fun Days

In total, an estimated 50,000 children enjoyed these activities – a fantastic achievement that shows just how valuable play is in bringing communities together.

A huge thank you to all the schools, organisations, and local councils who supported and helped fund these events. Your involvement made a real difference!

If your school is interested in hosting a play event or finding out more about what the team can offer, we’d love to hear from you.
