Bradford Libraries are offering schools a chance to take part in Martin Impey’s regional tour of libraries in collaboration with Association of Children’s Senior & Educational Librarian Yorkshire & Humberside, Peters Book Suppliers & Libraries Connected.
These free sessions will take place at Shipley Library on Weds 11 June.

Martin Impey shares his family's moving stories from the Blitz and World War II, inspiring his heartfelt book. Through meticulous research and determination, he overcame setbacks to bring this book to life.
This author talk, featuring live sketching, will spark a passion in pupils to learn about the war, military, and family history.
Martin loves connecting with audiences of all ages, sharing his creative journey and the stories behind his books. He engages pupils with insights into his illustration process and the adventures that inspire his work. Don't miss this inspirational journey
that ignites curiosity and a love for history!
We have sessions for schools at the following times:
Weds 11 June
9.30am-10.45am – Years 5 or 6
This session is for one class with a max. of 30 pupils from Year 5 or 6.
Please note all classes will be asked to provide one entry for the art competition – see below. Martin’s book “Blitz:
