Day 1 (17/09/14) will focus on the roles and responsibilities of the subject leader for computing. We will explore ways that teachers can tackle
this demanding role in manageable and effective ways and will take a close look at the new computing curriculum and Bradford’s scheme of work. We will focus on computer science and will go through some of the recommended programs and supporting resources for
delivering this strand.
Day 2 (14/01/15) takes an in-depth look at (e)Safeguarding and the role of the subject coordinator as part of a school’s (e)Safeguarding team. We will show ways that the school
can educate staff, parents, pupils and governors. We will also update attendees as to the latest developments in hardware by looking at the strengths and weaknesses of iPads, Android tablets, Windows tablets and hybrids, Chrome books, Raspberry Pi and laptops
when it comes to delivering computing lessons or cross curricular use.
Day 3 (22/04/15) will focus on the Digital Literacy strand, the cross curricular Applying Technology strand of the Bradford scheme of work and the assessments systems that we have developed.
