Course description

The SCERTS® Model is a research-based educational approach and multidisciplinary framework that directly addresses the core challenges faced by children and persons with ASD and related disabilities, and their families. SCERTS® focuses on building competence in Social Communication, Emotional Regulation and Transactional Support as the highest priorities. Delegates will learn about sensory processing strategies and how these are implemented to support the emotional needs and well-being of
students with autism.


SCERTs approach—theory and evidence and how High Park School uses integrated approaches

Classroom observations—how are the SCERTs strategies being used and how do students respond? (EYFS, KS1, KS2 and KS3)

Reflective discussion on  classroom observations
