Before you apply for this specialist course, you may wish to have a look at the CAMHS Training Framework and the Disability and Inclusion Training Framework attached to this course.

This course aims to introduce Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) to staff who may be working either directly or indirectly with Children and Young People on the Autistic Spectrum.  
Learning objectives:
By the end of the course, participants will be able to: 
  • gain an understanding of ASC's and how a child or young person on the autistic spectrum makes sense of the world. 
  • consider what staff can do within their own role to assist a young person with autism and their Family. 
  • identify ways that agencies can work together to support children and young people on the autistic spectrum.
