You may have heard of RIF1s, AB1s and Violent Incident Reports.
These are the forms that the Council uses to record accidents and violent incidents at work. They are all becoming things of the past.
The Occupational Safety Team have teamed up with risk management software provider RIVO to set up an online reporting system that will provide more accurate records and will be easier to use.
The system will go live on 1 March 2017 and from that date on the old forms will no longer be in use. Any received by the team will result in a (polite!) phone call / e-mail to the sender asking them to use the new system.
A link will be available on the
Occupational Safety website from the 1 March to a web form which is easy to fill out. A FAQ will be available to help answer those burning questions. Schools/Departments/Services may need to review their accident, and violence and aggression, reporting
procedures in light of this change.
