Outdoor Education Centres
Buckden House and Ingleborough Hall Outdoor Education Centres are run as part of Bradford Council's Children's Services and provide a varied range of Outdoor Learning opportunities for Bradford Schools. Buckden
House is based in Buckden village in Upper Wharfedale.
Ingleborough Hall is in the village of Clapham just off the A65 between Settle and Ingleton. Both about an hour and a half from the centre of Bradford.
From the 12th April we are able to offer day visits to the centre. Our usual range of activities are on offer. These inlcude, caving, gorge/gill scrambling, high ropes, archery, tree climbing, abseiling, orienteering, bushcraft,
to name but a few! As the centres are based in the Yorkshire Dales we are able to provide a lunch or evening meal to help with timing, planning and logistics. To ensure COVID safety to our visitors and centre staff we will only be hosting one school (‘bubble
group’) per day.
At this time in line with the DfE guidance your school will not be required to make any financial or contractual commitments (prior to the visit) other than discussing a preferred date, planned numbers and an expected programme.
If you would like to discuss dates for a day visit, please contact each centre at your earliest convenience.
Contact Buckden House (e-mail or 01756 760254), and Ingleborough Hall (e-mail
or 015242 51265) to discuss your requirements.
