I’m Wendy Uttley and I run a charity called Down Syndrome Training & Support Service Ltd, based in Bradford.

My background is teaching and for the last 20+ years I have developed and delivered many training courses, programmes and workshops aimed at school staff, health professionals and families living and working with children and young people with Down syndrome. Both parents and professionals travel from many areas of England to use our services and I also travel to deliver training (if needed).

Last week at our board meeting the directors were discussing how we could target schools in more LEAs across the Yorkshire/Humber region as we know there is little support across some areas in the inclusion and education of children with Down syndrome.
